Buffy was played by Sarah Michelle Gellar who naturally starred in all 145 episodes of the TV series. Only one other actor starred in every episode and that was Nicholas Brendon who took the role of Xander Harris. Then Alyson Hannigan who played Willow Rosenberg appeared in all but one episode for a total of 144 episodes during the 6 year run of the show.

The only other actor to star in more than 100 episodes was Anthony Head who played Rupert Giles and starred in 123 episodes in total.

James Marsters, who played Spike, starred in 97 episodes. Then Emma Caulfield, who played Anya, appeared in a total of 85 episodes from when she joined the show in 1998.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Dawn Summers, didn’t join the show until 2000 but starred in 66 episodes until the end of the show in 2003. Kristine Sutherland, who played Joyce Summers, starred in 57 episodes between 1997 and 2002. Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase, starred in 57 episodes between 1996 to 1999 before leaving the show.

There were of course dozens more actors who appeared in the popular TV series but these are the main Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast.
